I was talking to my childhood best friend who was telling me that he received a call from somebody claiming his social security number had been suspended. He quickly realized that it was a scam.
I mentioned to him that I received at least one of these in the form of a voicemail and sent it to him since I turned it into a video. From there I told him if he gets another call he should say the following.
“That must be related to the call I received from somebody claiming to be the IRS saying I owed over $7,000.
If that wasn’t bad enough I received a call from somebody who said they were from Microsoft and my computer was infected with a virus and I was dumb enough to pay them.
Two days after that I got a call from what I thought was from our utility company who said my power would be shut off because I owed money.
It wasn’t until my wife got back from a business trip overseas that I learned they were all a scam. So that must be why my number is suspended.”
I just wanted to know what they would have to say after hearing all that. But the truth of the matter is I honestly hope he would ignore the call.
