The Boredom of a Saturday

There was a time where spending time on Facebook or Twitter could help kill time when I found myself bored. But ever since I returned I have hardly any Facebook.

I think it’s fair to say that my interest level has dropped by more than 75%. I signed in earlier this week and I don’t think I was on for more than 25 minutes.

I have to say it’s quite surprising and to be perfectly honest it’s refreshing to know that I don’t need to be signed into a service that now seems to bore the hell out of me.

So here I am writing this post as a way to kill a little time. Normally an idea pops into my head where I want to write about something. This might the first time where I am writing out of boredom and not about anything in particular.

Well that brings this boring post to a close. Hopefully I didn’t put you to sleep. Hopefully tomorrow will prove more interesting. Though it is going to be summer like and I’m not exactly looking forward to the warmth & humidity that comes with it.

  1. I know exactly what you mean about Facebook. Apart from a few radio related groups I enjoy I find it the biggest and saddest time-waster out there. I’d rather watch the clouds scudding across the sky will butterflies flitting from plant to plant. Real life. Not some facsimile of life on a screen. Good for you. Keep enjoying life without FB. LIBERATION!!!!

    1. I have a couple of shortwave related groups that I was following. Since returning I have considered not following them simply to reduce what comes up in my feed. But cannot recall if I have done so. I did stop following certain pages connected to famous people & so forth. I just wish they would let me control how my feed appears any time I sign in so that the most recent posts show up.
