Tonight is the 73rd Emmy Awards. I am sure many people will be tuned into watch it from beginning to end. Some of these same people will take their thoughts to Facebook & Twitter to share their thoughts on the results.
Well I am not one of those people. To me awards shows are absolutely boring. This is not to say I haven’t taken to social media to comment on them. I definitely have. But in my case I would be complaining that the show was delaying the news which I felt was more important. This was especially true when I still had my Twitter account.
In more recent years I’ve used my Facebook account to use the check in option to pretend I was there. I figure if I might as well have fun with it since I had no choice but to wait until they were over.
I’ve done this with the Super Bowl as well. It’s not that I don’t like football but I just have to be interested in the teams that are in it. But awards shows is my preference.
